Best NBA Teams of All-Time

By Shane R

Even though the NBA has been around for decades, there are only a few times that have set themselves apart. For this review, we have 2 Eastern and 2 Western Conference teams. By spanning 3 separate decades, here are the best of the best.

4 – 1986-1987 Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers were stellar in 1986-1987. They had a regular-season record of 65-17 and waltzed through the playoffs going 15-3. It all culminated with a 4-2 Final victory over the rival Boston Celtics.

3 – 1985-1986 Boston Celtics

The year before the Lakers winning, the Celtics won the World Championship. After Boston went 67-15 in the regular season, the steam-rolled through the competition in the playoffs, going 15-3. In the NBA Finals, the Celtics beat the Houston Rockets 4-2.

2 – 2016-2017 Golden State Warriors

The year the Warriors acquired Kevin Durant, after losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers the year before, Golden State was on a mission all season. They went 67-15 during the regular season and 16-1 during the playoffs. In the Finals, they beat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-1.

1 – 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls

The Bulls own the best regular-season record while winning an NBA Finals (sorry, Golden State), going 72-10. In the post-season, the juggernaut Bulls went 15-3, beating the Seattle Supersonics 4-2 in the NBA Finals. This team was of course led by Michael Jordan.
