2020-2021 NFL MVP Prediction

By Shane R

As the NFL season looks to restart in just a few months, the Most Valuable Player award talk is already in motion. Since 2000, quarterbacks have won the award 16 out of 20 years, with the four other years going to running backs. So, who has the best chance to win the prestigious award this year?

4 – Christian McCaffrey

The dark horse of the bunch is Christian McCaffrey. Son of standout wide receiver, Ed McCaffrey, Christian is the only running back of the bunch to have a chance to win the award. Even though he put up video game numbers last season, McCaffrey needs an even better year to win it all.

3 – Dak Prescott

Dak is playing under the franchise tag this year. He is making well over $30 million, but this is a contract year. So, to get people to notice, people are betting Prescott will light it up this season.

2 – Lamar Jackson

The reigning MVP looks to be one of the few players in NFL history to win back-to-back MVPs. If the stud quarterback can get the Ravens to the Super Bowl, that would surely help his cause.

1 – Patrick Mahomes

The Super Bowl-winning quarterback is riding high right now. After signing a megadeal contract of 10 years, Mahomes will be staying in Kansas City for a while. What would make all this better? Winning the MVP this upcoming season of course.
