On Saturday, the Miami Heat visited the Denver Nuggets in the Orlando Bubble in Florida. For the most part, the Miami Heat were at full strength, while the Nuggets would have to play without guards Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, and Will Barton. That certainly played a major part in the score of this game, where the Heat dominated winning 125-105. Heat players’ Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler each scored 22 points, while the Nuggets leading point getters were Nikola Jokic and Jerami Grant with 19 apiece.

The Heat certainly took it at the Nuggets, getting to the free throw lines 13 more than Denver did. Additionally, Miami shot the ball as a team much better than Denver. The Heat shot 55.6% from the field, 44.8% from 3, and 86.5% from the free throw line. Alternatively, the Nuggets struggled with percentages of 43.8% from the field, 22.9% from 3, and 79.2% from the free throw line.

Another place where the Heat capitalized was with fast breaks. In the game, Miami had over 30 fast breakpoints. On the other hand, Denver has less than 10. This was the true difference in the game. Next up, the Nuggets will play the Oklahoma City Thunder, while the Miami Heat will play host to the Toronto Raptors. It will truly be interesting to see where these teams will end up in the playoff standings when the season is complete.
