Ever wondered how the short guy landed the statuesque woman? Read about some of Hollywood’s hottest couples (and some former couples) with extreme height differences that proved that love comes in all shapes and sizes. In a reality where couples breakup and divorce left and right for the oddest reasons, it’s comforting to see that at least a little (or in some cases, a big) height difference isn’t a breakup reason. From actors to singers to even a boxer, here we take a closer look at couples and former couples with height differences that, in some cases, towered over each other. Despite the major height difference, these couples dated and even lasted until the end. They break the stereotypes of couples having to be the same height. Good on them!
Rhea Perlman & Danny DeVito
And the award for the shortest couple in entertainment history goes to Rhea Perlman, who is 5 feet tall and Danny Devito, who stands at 4’10. They make up for their two-inch height difference with tons of laughter and love.
The funny couple first met in the ’70s when Rhea went to watch a friend’s play, and DeVito was also performing that evening. Two weeks after they met, they moved in together. Since then, this couple has had their fair share of ups and downs. Although they have not been living together for many years, they have no intention of getting a divorce.
