April Ross is arguably one of the most successful players in Beach volleyball, considering the various successes she has recorded. With about 20 plus years of experience as a beach volleyball player, Ross made her first Olympic appearance at the 2012 summer Olympics in London and has proven to be a force to be reckoned with.

Since her debut at the 2012 summer Olympics, she has played alongside fellow players like Jennifer Kessy, Kerri Walsh Jennings, and Alix Klineman, a beach volleyball player who made her Olympic debut in the just concluded 2021 Olympics.

 However, see some of the amusing facts you probably haven’t heard about April Ross.

  1. Her love for Coffee Mugs is unexplainable

Although this sounds funny, Ross has, for years, showed the world she is a lover of coffee mugs. These mugs, which are mostly products of her travels, are available in different sizes and colors. In one of her interviews, she described them as one of her treasures.

The two-time Olympic medalist has revealed how she fell in love with yoga after a friend introduced it to her. According to her, yoga was never a thing to her until she had a change of heart.

Meditation is one thing you can’t take away from April Ross. In one of her interviews, she recounted how meditation made her a stronger person after she lost her mom in 2001.

While you would expect her to be a lover of the beach, Ross once said she prefers visiting the mountains to beaches.
